"I was a long-time customer and ultimately switched after finding a significantly lower premium elsewhere. My disappointment wasn't simply the price difference—it was the customer experience.
Several months before this, I accepted an offer from the office to review my policies, scheduled a specific time, and never received the promised call. Later, when I shopped my policy, no one reviewed my account or explored whether there was anything that could be done before I left.
After I left a review, the agent responded. While I appreciate that he reached out, I still felt dismissed. Rather than beginning with an apology, the response focused on explaining office procedures and included the statement that my feedback was "a sad commentary on today's society." That reinforced my feeling that defending the process was more important than understanding the customer experience.
I don't expect an agent to change State Farm's rates. I do expect follow-through, communication, and an effort to make a long-time customer feel like their business matters"
